Charles Elmore is a dedicated community-minded leader with extensive experience across various sectors, including education, technology, government, and nonprofit work. A native of Kingston, TN, he has an impressive academic background, earning degrees from Roane State Community College, Tennessee Technological University, and additional graduate studies at several prestigious institutions.
Elmore’s professional career spans over several years in education, where he has worked as a school librarian and technology teacher. His expertise extends to roles with organizations such as the Roane County Industrial Development Board, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the National Park Service, Profit Management, Inc./Airport 82 & Associates, and Family Promise.
Currently, he serves as a director for Habitat for Humanity, a position that highlights his commitment to community services.
He has been active in local and regional leadership, including serving on multiple boards like Tenn-Share and state and regional library boards. Notably, Elmore is a graduate of Leadership Roane County (2020) and Leadership East Tennessee (2024). Additionally, he co-founded the nonprofit Outdoor Kingston in 2017, working to promote outdoor activities and beautification in his home community.
