About National Philanthropy Day

Change the World With a Giving—and Wise—Heart!

It’s important to give. Charitable giving is how we express our values. It’s how we give back to our communities. It’s how we change the world: by supporting those who are in need. And we use National Philanthropy Day®, celebrated in November every year, to remember the importance of philanthropy and why we should Change the World With a Giving Heart.

Every November, we celebrate National Philanthropy Day by recognizing the great contributions of philanthropy – and those people active in the philanthropic community – to the enrichment of our world. First held in 1986, NPD celebrates the endless contributions individuals and organizations across the world make to countless valuable causes and missions.

To find out more about our chapter's NPD celebrations - this year and past years along with our past winners list, please click on any of the links in the "In This Section" box above, left.

We recognize these individuals and organizations for their generosity and selfless commitment and look to them as role models in our own philanthropic efforts. See the links to the left to learn more about past winners and this year's celebration of National Philanthropy Day. We invite you to join us!

We can all help change the world, and by giving wisely, any gift - of any size - can have a real impact.
